Shortcodes: videos

Delight Theme has many shortcodes integrated into the text editor with handy buttons:

You can display a self-hosted video (FLV or MOV with H.264 compression) or a video hosted on the most famous video sharing sites.

Self-hosted videos

If you select as source of your video, as in the image below, a self hosted video, you can upload or select your video from the media library, upload an image as poster of your video, decide the width and the height:

Since Delight v.2.0.0 I added Projekktor video player, an HTML5 video player that works with iPhone and iPad too. If you are watching Delight on iPhone or iPad, Projekktor is shown instead of Flowplayer. To use Projekktor you must remember to upload together with you FLV video, also its version HTML5 compatible. For instance, if you upload a video called: “my_video.flv”, you must upload also “my_video.mp4“. You must upload both videos at the same time because the path in the media library must be the same. And name (except for the extension of course) must be the same too.

You can also embed videos from :

• Vimeo
• Viddler
• Hulu

To embed a externally hosted video paste in the source field (look at the image below) the URL of the page that contains the video.
